In May 2006, Beaumaris Theatre presented three episodes from the extremely popular Blackadder III series:
Dish and Dishonesty, Sense and Senility, & Dual and Duality
Set in the late 1700's, the three episodes depicted Edmund Blackadder, now 'a mere butler', in his daily struggles to cope with keeping his master, George the Prince Regent, out of trouble, while at the same time trying to make "a fat pile of cash" for himself. His 'dog's body' Baldrick was no help at all - in Blackadder's own words, "If you want something done properly, kill Baldrick before you start."
Along the way, Blackadder matched wits with Pitt the Younger (and Pitt the Even Younger), Mossop and Keanrick (whose acting talents had to be seen to be believed!), the Duke of Wellington, Mrs Miggins, his mad cousin McAdder, and several other memorable characters who made his life difficult, and these episodes extremely funny.
