Our stars, both young and young at heart are excited to come to our classes each week. They find them fulfilling, rewarding and above all else they are fun.
The emphasis is on building confidence for shy students and providing an avenue for outgoing children to showcase their talents. All students learn the skills, techniques and discipline required for performance. Our nurturing program encourages students to develop at their own pace, work to their strengths and rise to new and stimulating challenges. We focus on voice projection, diction and enunciation through acting and storytelling in a fabulous theatre environment.
Each term we work towards an end of term performance such as plays or monologues that are specifically written for the students. We also play games to inspire imagination and creativity. Our young thespians love dressing up and performing for family and friends on our real theatre stage with theatrical lighting.
Our musical theatre classes are perfect for children and teens who adore singing and dancing. Each term we learn new show tunes and routines that students perform for an audience at our end of term concert.
We also run classes for adults who want to learn more about the fundamentals of the performing arts and brush up on skills for presentations and public speaking. Our classes focus on audition techniques, character development, script analysis, improvisation, stage craft, vocal work and unlocking potential.
D.K Productions was established in 2001 and offer weekday classes after school for our twinkling stars- preps to grade two; rising stars- grade three to six; shining stars- secondary school students and evenings for our master class- adult students.
