Our stars, both young and young at heart are excited to come to our classes each week. They find them fulfilling, rewarding and above all else they are fun.
The emphasis is on building confidence for shy students and providing an avenue for outgoing children to showcase their talents. All students learn the skills, techniques and discipline required for performance. Our nurturing program encourages students to develop at their own pace, work to their strengths and rise to new and stimulating challenges. We focus on voice projection, diction and enunciation through acting and storytelling in a fabulous theatre environment.
Each term we work towards an end of term performance such as plays or monologues that are specifically written for the students. We also play games to inspire imagination and creativity. Our young thespians love dressing up and performing for family and friends on our real theatre stage with theatrical lighting.
Our musical theatre classes are perfect for children and teens who adore singing and dancing. Each term we learn new show tunes and routines that students perform for an audience at our end of term concert.
We also run classes for adults who want to learn more about the fundamentals of the performing arts and brush up on skills for presentations and public speaking. Our classes focus on audition techniques, character development, script analysis, improvisation, stage craft, vocal work and unlocking potential.
D.K Productions was established in 2001 and offer weekday classes after school for our twinkling stars- preps to grade two; rising stars- grade three to six; shining stars- secondary school students and evenings for our master class- adult students.

“I cannot speak highly enough of D.K Productions children’s drama classes! Our daughter has learnt how to project her voice and speak confidently in front of an audience and has gained wonderful friendships and increased self- esteem in the process. Debbie is a wonderful role model for all of the children and encourages them in a way that they achieve their personal best. Whether your child is a budding actor or actress or is shy and reserved they will benefit from these classes.” Cindy Orchard- parent
"It has been very satisfying to observe the growth, development and confidence build in my sons throughout their time at D.K Productions. The skills they have gained are invaluable I highly recommend the program to any child who dreams of being on stage and expressing themselves through drama”. Kim Valance- parent
“Attending the drama Masterclass at D.K Productions provides the adult actor an extensive and varied platform to learn, improve and extend theatre and acting crafts. As a teacher and an expert in her field, Debbie gives students an opportunity to explore all areas of performance and enhance opportunity through support, direction and teaching. The community spirit and camaraderie which exists in the class offers another dimension to a thoroughly enjoyable and rewarding learning environment. Encouragement is continually offered to participants to perform and to audition and the atmosphere is one of professionalism, fun and creativity. Highly recommended to the adult student who wants to increase knowledge and enhance performing skills in a caring, supportive, informative and professional environment.” Lynda French- Adult student DK Productions Masterclass
“I started D.K drama classes when I was 14 years old. I was welcomed by new friends and a really supportive teacher. I started auditioning for shows and finding a confidence in myself that I never knew I had. The classes themselves are fun and a great way to unwind after school with other kids in your age group and Debbie is a strong role model who helped me reach a potential I was unaware of. I only wish I could go back to being 14 and do it all again!” Chris Hunter- D.K Productions graduate
“I did drama classes with Debbie for the most part of the first 16 years of my life and the pay off has been indescribable. I constantly find myself thanking her in the back of my head when I achieve certain things. I don’t believe I would have received my role as School Captain without the skills that I learnt while participating in these classes, nor would I be nearly as confident at public speaking. Debbie was one of the most significant role-models throughout my youth and I have never hesitated to recommend her program- Eliza Anderson D.K Productions Graduate
