ABOUT THE SHOW

Once upon a time… the charming Village of Marisbeau was under threat of an evil Giant and his sinister Witches who steal the villagers’ food, money and men! Handsome and dashing young Jack declares he will save his beloved village from the nasty Giant’s evil clutches.

Jack and his family are forced to sell their precious family cow and Jack is tricked into selling her for a handful of ‘magic beans’. Jack’s Mother and brother are furious and his devastated Mother throws the beans out the window. An enchanted beanstalk grows and then beautiful and feisty Princess Jill is captured by the Witches, Jack realises he has no choice but to tackle the beanstalk and usurp the dastardly Giant with the help of a Fairy Godmother.

Will Jack be a hero and defeat the Giant and rescue the village of Marisbeau and lovely Princess Jill? Mayhem and mirth are assured as good conquers evil and colourful exaggerated characters encourage audience participation, music and dancing. A fee-fi-fo-fun time will be had by all~ oh yes it will!

Jack & The Beanstalk will run from 6 - 22 May at Beaumaris Theatre.
